The Virgin 2012 London Marathon
Children With AIDS Chairity had 13 courageous runners taking part in this year's London Marathon, one of the biggest running events in the world
and one of the five globally renowned marathons that make up the World Marathon Majors competition.
CWAC had a fantastic day at the London Marathon and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all 13 of our runners - their achievements on the day were incredible and we felt so proud cheering them on throughout the race and at the finish line.
The picnic at the end of the marathon was a huge success and the massage therapist was a welcome bonus - hopefully they will run for us again!
The atmosphere throughout the event was brilliant and we look forward to attending again next year.
If anyone is interested in running the London 2013 marathon on behalf of CWAC, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Announcing yet another
prestigious
CWAC event!
On Monday 28th May 2012, Children With Aids Charity is hosting its first CWAC Golf day at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club in Denham.
Set in 226 acres of beautiful English parkland, The Buckinghamshire is a mere 18 miles from the centre of London and has been chosen by CWAC for the golf day because it is "a golf course that is a stern test but also one that even a bad golfer can enjoy".

Teams of 4 will be teeing off from 8.15am and the day includes breakfast, an 18 hole round of golf and an after game dinner along with the usual hilarity and fun associated with all CWAC events.
The cost for a team is £520 with all proceeds coming to the charity.

Red Carpet Ball a resounding success!
One of the most prestigious black tie occasions of the year, the Red Carpet Ball marked the 20th anniversary of Children With AIDS Charity.
The fund raising event, which sought to both educate and entertain, was hosted by writer, broadcaster and former MP, Gyles Brandreth, and was a celebration of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, complimented by the class and style of the quintessentially English ball. The theme of the Ball was 'A Night at the Oscars' and our distinguished guests were invited to attend as their favourite movie stars, in the spectacular Hansom Hall Ballroom.
It was held at the masterfully restored, five star St Pancras Renaissance Hotel;

the jewel in London’s crown and featuring Europe’s grandest staircase, which itself has become something of a Hollywood movie star, appearing in films such as Bridget Jones’ Diary, Harry Potter, Batman Returns and achieved iconic status when the Spice Girls strode down it in the music video, Wannabe.
The main event was an illustrious fund raising auction of celebrity items and memorabilia from some of the most famous names in show business including Dame Judi Dench, Yasmin Le Bon, Dame Kelly Homes, David Suchet, Justin Lee Collins and Annie Lennox.
This was complimented throughout the night by a raffle of exclusive, lavish prizes and world class entertainment, music and song provided by the Kitty La Roar Quartet and Tiger Tiger, Soho House regular, DJ Michelle Manetti, who supplied the grooves for those wishing to dance the night away.
