Board of Trustees
David Tallon (Chair)
David Tallon is a Chartered Accountant by profession (now retired).He was previously Chairman of CWAC in the 1990s and is also a trustee of a Grant Making Charity-Mr and Mrs J A Pye’s Charitable Settlement - and associated trusts. He chairs his local Residents Association and is a Director of a house-building group in the UK as well as a land development company in Canada.
David was the chair of Children With AIDS Charity at its inception
and, as a chartered accountant, was closely involved in getting the charity up and running.
Barbara Clayman (Vice Chair)
Barbara brings to CWAC many years business experience. She worked as a secretary to the Chair of a frozen food company, where she gained valuable skills in running large companies. Barbara also has a wealth of experience in the financial aspects of a small business, having worked with her husband for 18 years running a retail television and audio store.
She enjoys meeting people and made many friends with customers.
Kate Copstick
Copstick has been a CWAC trustee since it was founded in 1992. She is a writer and TV Producer and made Positive Thinking for BBC1, a documentary on HIV/AIDS and children. She has filmed 2 educational videos for CWAC. She is also a patron of Waverley Care Trust, Scotland’s leading charity providing support for people living with HIV and Hepatitis C.
She took part in a MRC Stage One trial of a new HIV vaccine. Copstick is the founder of a new charity Mama Biashara that works in Kenya to assist people out of poverty by giving micro-finance grants to start a small business.
Jo Dodge (Co Founder)
Jo Dodge returned to work in the late 1980’s after bringing up her three daughters.
She worked as a researcher for SENSE for three years investigating the up-take of Rubella in Newham. She then worked for The Centre for the Study of Primary Care, a research unit for the NHS.
In 1991 she became part of a specialist team at St Mary’s, Paddington working with children and families with HIV. Jo became aware of the lack of help and assistance for families and decided with Rebecca Handel to form a charity to help and assist families that were struggling and so CWAC was born.
Camilla Hamilton
Camilla Hamilton is a mother of 4 and has more than 15 years experience in the voluntary sector working mainly in fundraising for homeless, people with addiction issues and Children with AIDS Charity. She has a BSC (Hons) in Management Sciences and passing the Graduate Diploma of Law in 2010. She is also a member of the Institute of Marketing
Lee Marshall (Treasurer)
Lee is a MBA who began his career in financial management working for the Church Commissioners. He is now a member of the senior management team of the Church of England Pension Board where, as Head of Central Secretariat(Policy and Resources) he is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient conduct of the Board’s affairs and governance.
Lee was a co-founder of the equality lobbying group Stonewall and worked for them for eight years. As a Board member of the Stonewall Group and the associated Stonewall Iris Charitable Trust, he had particular responsibility for finance during the organisation’s formative years.
Jen Cross
Jen is a Sexual Health Outreach HCA, working for the NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent PCT.
She has been in this post for 18 months and works predominantly with young people aged 13-19 providing sexual health education. This can include anything from the different forms of contraceptive that are available, to the implications of unsafe intercourse and anything in between.
These young people are usually those excluded from the mainstream system. Jen is the youngest trustee at just 23, she brings her experience in sexual health and a connection with youth to the Board.

Steven Inman
Steven has worked in the alleviation of HIV/AIDS Hardship for more than two decades.
For twelve years he worked at Crusaid- the fundraising and grant-making organisation now merged with THT where he was Head of Programmes and Partnerships.
He has been involved in the publication of several key research documents, including Poverty Without Borders (2009) Poverty and HIV – Lessons from the Hardship Fund(2003) He is now Charity Director of Make A Difference Trust, which raises funds to support people who are facing hardship as a result of long-term medical conditions, including HIV/AIDS
Alastair Tallon
Alastair started his career at Shakespeare’s Globe in 1991, running community affairs.
He left to become the Producer of Community Events for the String of Pearls Golden Jubilee Festival. For three years he worked freelance developing a range of educational programmes and access opportunities.
In 2006 he joined the Royal Albert Hall as Head of Learning & Participation and created a programme of activity for schools and teachers. In 2011 he joined Stonewall as Director of Education.
Alastair was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1996 and currently sits in Greenwich and Woolwich as presiding Judge.
