Charity
Of The Year Many
companies are now choosing to support one charity throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity for team building and can improve staff
morale. CWAC can provide information and resources to ensure that
events go smoothly. For more information please contact CWAC on 020

Search,
Shop and Donate Raise
money for CWAC just by searching the web!
Did you know that
the average person searches the internet three times a day? And did you
know that you could raise funds for CWAC just by searching the
internet? Use this search engine, which
donates half its revenue to charity. Everyclick CWAC has partnered
with a company that has developed innovative new fundraising tools that
generate donations using the search facilities of the internet. And
best of all, it doesn’t cost you or CWAC a penny!
How
does it work? All
you have to do is register with www.everyclick.com,
set them up as your home page and select Children With AIDS Charity as
your charity. Then every time you search the internet, they will share
the advertising revenue from that search with us. If
you use the internet three times a day, that could result in a donation
to CWAC of £50 every year.

Sports
fundraising
You can organise a fundraising event around your favourite sport:
A Sports Supporter wrote:
“A
million pound fund raising legend came to Bishops Stortford Rugby Club
on 20th February and put his best foot forward to raise more than
£1,000 for CWAC.
County Armagh
resident Willie Nugent MBE was invited to kick off his 26th year of
charity work by visiting the Silver Leys club for a rugby stunt. The
challenge for the self-confessed novice was to put the ball over the
bar and raise £200 for CWAC with each successful conversion.
Mr Nugent has
single-handed raised more than £1m for a variety of good
causes said, “I love watching rugby on the TV, but have never
played it. The Armagh club have been helping me train, but the ball
could still go anywhere!”
However, five successful
kicks later and £1,000 later, CWAC representative Peter
Brooke Turner said “This is the sixth time Willie
has come to England to help us and we always look forward to seeing
him. He even pays for his own travel, so every penny comes to CWAC.
He’s crawled round Trafalgar Square with a tray of pigeon
seed on his back and pushed a toy London bus through Soho!”
As well as letting the kindhearted fundraiser use the hallowed turf,
the town’s club presented him with a £90 collection
from supporters.
Vice Chairman John
Allanson said “CWAC needed a club near Stanstead
Airport for Willie’s flight and we’ve been more
than happy to do all we can to help.”
Groups,
Clubs, Associations
Why not get a group that
you are associated with to fundraise for us? CWAC has been fortunate to
be supported by the ‘Just Enrique’ group for the
past two years. They have collected for us on World AIDS Day, donated
toys for children at Christmas, held their own events, and even linked
to our website – thanks Girls!
