Kenya - CWAC's immediate response to the post-election violence
After the post-election violence in Kenya CWAC International was one of the first organisations to provide humanitarian assistance by supporting Internally Displaced People/children (IDPs) in the Jamhuri Showground Camp in Nairobi, providing food, shelter and medical assistance. This was done through DECIP, a registered CBO in Kenya, with collaboration from Red Cross Kenya.

Karachi, Pakistan - Kids helping Kids
CWAC sponsored a Kids Helping Kids Day from funds received from MAC AIDS to host an HIV/AIDS awareness day with children at the Paramount Public School in Pakistan with CWAC education resources “Problem?” and “Your body, Your blood” worksheets also distributed.

Dagoretti, Kenya - Feeding Day for a whole village!
After fundraising in UK on World AIDS Day 2006 with the theme “Take a Village out to dinner!”, CWAC international was able to fund the “Dagoretti Feeding Day” in Lenana, Kenya on Jomo Kenyatta Day with food and fun activities such as face painting and games for children and parents in the area. Key stakeholders were invited to observe the feeding programme and forge partnerships to meet resource needsas part of the capacity building strategy.

Tamil Nadu, India - International Outreach
Education resources and toys donated by Mothercare UK and Paramount Pictures were distributed to AWARE, an outreach and refuge centre for children in Tamil Nadu, South India.

Nyumbani, Kenya - orphanage and feeding program
For the past few years CWAC International has given support periodically to Nyumbani situated in Karen, Kenya, an orphanage and feeding programme that cares for abandoned and orphaned HIV +ve children by sending clothes, books and toys. Air freight has been facilitated through the years by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
